The Infernal Engine's shader editor can create custom materials on the fly, either visually or through direct programming. Base lighting models are included to accurately portray surfaces such as anisotropic properties in metal/hair, sub-surface scattering in skin, and diffuse surfaces, such as rock. The shader editor provides simple-to-use but extremely powerful tools for creating custom lighting models and materials. The Infernal Engine includes debugging tools for shader performance monitoring and outputs raw HLSL code for target platforms.

The Infernal Engine provides many different dynamic ways to preview your materials during the editing process. In addition, Infernal automatically imports most materials straight from your 3D package which saves development time!
